Photographic compilation of birds found near Otorongo Expeditions jungle lodge
I have been spending a considerable amount of time silent in the forest waiting to photographically catalog the bird species that can be found within roughly one mile. There are some photos I put that are slightly blurry but you can at least tell what it is.
Many photos are taken as mixed foraging flocks of twenty species or more fly by. It is sometime hard to concentrate on a single bird because just next to it is another species and another and another and another until suddenly they are all gone. It is truly amazing the diversity of the avian fauna and quite tricky to even ID a species that many people call LBJ or little brown jobs
You know it is tough to get a good picture of a bird from a distance, especially when swatting at mosquitoes.
So here you have the latest photos first.
There are more coming!
