Making Chocolate from Scratch
You have never had chocolate so pure before.
If you ever have the pleasure to stroll our gardens and orchards, pick a cacao and ask to make chocolate.
The process is a bit long but well worth the outcome.
For a quick rustic chocolate, first crack open the cacao.
Proceed to suck off the sweet skin that surrounds the purple chocolate.
The seed itself is quite slippery so we are going to toast it first so we can peel off the skin
seed
After it dries, we peel off the dry skin to reveal the purple chocolate seed, We will crush it a bit more so the toasting can be even.
After toasting we grind it down to be toasted again before grinding with a small mill. After grinding in the mill, the ball of chocolate is ready for consumption.
At this point it is extremely bitter. You have never had chocolate so pure before.Add a bit to a cup and put some sugar in it for a treat you have to try to believe.
