Otorongo Expeditions is Amazon River Lodge

After years of marketing our business as Otorongo Expeditions, we decided to put to use those domains purchased in the early 00’s and rebrand Otorongo as the Amazon River Lodge.

What is Otorongo?

Otorongo is the mestizo evolution of the word Uturunku which means jaguar in the Quechua language from the pre-Incan culture of Chavin.

In marketing, if the brand name matches the product, there is greater chances for the product being successful, and found easier online.

Needless to say, the name Otorongo Expeditions, leaves many questions for the inquirer and begs explanation.

In 2017 we began the rebranding and has caused a bit of confusion for our clients.

The name Otorongo Expeditions Amazon River Lodge is descriptive , concise and easily understandable to what product our company is offering.

We are still the best choice for an authentic trip to the Amazon River and rainforest of Peru
